Lesson Plans for Fire Ecology and Watersheds

The Volunteer Task Force lesson plans are designed for grades 5 through 8. Each lesson is aligned to National Science Standards and New Mexico State Education Standards in science, language arts, math, and fine arts. The plans can be used alone or as part of the VTF Fire Ecology curriculum which will be available in print form in September 2003. Lessons are supplemented with graphic materials and PowerPoint presentations.
